Untamed
 Untamed

Untamed is an experimental book that reimagines the role of weeds in both nature and design. Often dismissed as unwanted or invasive, weeds are reframed here as powerful symbols of resilience, adaptability, and natural beauty.

This project was born from an interest in celebrating plants in all their forms, while reflecting on the deeper role of gardens in our lives, as the brief asked. Rather than focusing on cultivated, ornamental spaces, I was drawn to the idea that weeds and wild plants represent a form of garden accessible to all—growing freely in cracks in the pavement, on the edges of roads, or in forgotten corners of urban environments.

By shifting the focus to these often-overlooked plants, Untamed challenges conventional ideas of what a garden is, highlighting the quiet, resilient beauty that exists beyond the formal garden wall. In this way, the work speaks to inclusivity and awareness: the idea
that nature—and by extension, the concept of paradise—is already around us, if we choose to see it.
